How do I launch online training on LearnSmart?
Sign up and order for a course. You will receive Learner user ID and password. Then click “Resume My Training” and log on to the learning portal. In the portal, click “Begin” for the course you want to launch. This will open the learning window. Continue to click “Next” label at your own pace to run the course.
If you're coming through your organization, you'll receive your user ID and password after your organization has paid for the course(s). You don't need to sign up.
How long can learners access a course once it has been started?
After purchasing a course, learners can resume or retake course content as frequently as they want within a 30-day period at no additional charge.
What are the system requirements for taking courses on LearnSmart?
Our learning platform supports the latest versions of Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and Safari. However, we recommend the use of Chrome as our platform works best with it.
There is a limited support for old, but recent versions of Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and Safari. While we don't actively test the platform against these browsers, they are usually recent enough to not have any significant problems.
Old versions of browsers often do not provide the technology required for the learning platform to function effectively and thus may or may not work.
Generally, if your computer was manufactured within the last 7 to 10 years, it should be fine in terms of computing power. For older hardware, we recommend the following minimum specifications:
CPU clock speed:1 GHz
RAM: 512 MB
Modern browsers are usually significantly faster on older hardware than older ones. Upgrading to a modern browser may be a more cost-effective solution than upgrading hardware.
Broadband internet connection is recommended. If you are not sure of your internet connection capability, you could run the courses at off-peak hours for better experience.
In addition to all this, you will require Adobe Reader to view and download your Certificates.
Can I access my courses using my Tablet PC or Smartphones?
Yes. LearnSmart website and learning platform are mobile compatible. However, for optimum experience, a desktop or laptop with good internet access is recommended.
How do I pay for the course?
You pay with your card and there are no charges for using your card.
For organizations, they pay using cards for bulk ordering or we invoice them and provide other options of payment.
How do I view or print a certificate of training?
Copies of the certificates are e-mailed to you within 24hrs of completing a course. However, you can also access and download a copy of the certificate when you log on to our site and click “Manage Courses” and then click the download label beside the course.
To find “Manage Courses”, click on the drop down button beside your full name near the Sign Up button on top of the site. Please note that you must log in to see this.
How do I order bulk online courses?
For bulk orders for organizations, please choose courses you want for your staff and contact us through firstname.lastname@example.org and we will enroll them.
For personal development, contact us through email@example.com or select the courses you want, checkout, and pay with your card.
Can the course material be shared with a friend?
No. It is prohibited and may affect your training certificate. Any course you pay for is strictly copyrighted and is delivered only on a per user basis. The same rule applies if the course is paid for by your company. Hence it is illegal to share course material or your username/password with anyone.
Who is to be contacted if there are questions about course content?
If you have any questions about the content of this course, please contact the Customer Care team (firstname.lastname@example.org) and you'll be directed to the Learning Advisor.
How do I know my rate of progress during the course?
You can monitor your progress rate by clicking on “Reports” at anytime.
What do I need to log into the LMS?
You need to have a username and password assigned by us to be able to access courses on LearnSmart. These are usually sent to you by e-mail immediately after ordering a course or courses.
